ORLANDO, Fla. – Memphis women's tennis dropped a 4-0 decision against No. 25 UCF Thursday afternoon in the quarterfinal round of The American Tennis Championships.
UCF took command in doubles, taking the bottom two courts for the early edge.
In singles, Memphis sought a rally and pushed UCF in multiple first sets, but the Knights found three straight-set wins on courts 3, 4 and 6 to seal the match.
Sophomore Alisha Reayer claimed a first-set win against No. 46 Valeriya Zeleva and led in the second frame before her match was left unfinished at the top spot.
