NORFOLK, Va. – Memphis women's tennis suffered a 7-0 setback at Old Dominion Saturday afternoon to open its weekend road swing.
ODU (10-2) claimed the opening doubles point with wins on courts 1 and 2. Memphis duo and , who hold a 4-0 mark as doubles partners this spring, held a 6-5 lead on court 3 before it was left unfinished.
In singles play, the Monarchs continued the momentum and claimed the match with wins on courts 3, 1, and 5.
After ODU claimed a 5-0 lead, junior rallied to take the second set on court 4, but dropped a third-set tiebreak.
