HOUSTON, Texas – Memphis women's soccer extended its win streak Sunday afternoon to four matches behind a 3-0 victory against Louisiana at the Rice Tournament.
A goal in the 36th minute helped Memphis (6-1-0) break though, while the Tiger offense surged for two more second-half goals.
"Today was a tough game because they put 11 players behind the ball. That makes it difficult overall to break teams down," head coach Brooks Monaghan said. "I thought we kept our poise and stayed patient and then found ways to get the goals we needed.
