MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball 2019-20 recruiting class celebrated successful senior seasons not only on the court, but in the classroom as they prepare for the leap to the college ranks next fall.
Local standouts Lanetta and Lanyce Williams led their Arlington High School squad to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. Prior to the state tournament, the Lady Tigers defeated Dyer County by a score of 70-39 to win the Region 7AAA Championship.
Arlington's quest for a state tournament berth started with the senior class winning their fourth-straight District 14AAA Championship, where Lanetta and Lanyce were named to the All-Tournament Team.
