MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Following back-to-back wins over Wichita State and Cincinnati, DeAndre Williams was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, announced Monday by the league office.
It's the ninth AAC Player of the Week honor for the Tigers this season.
Williams posted 20.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals, 3.0 blocks and 2.5 assists in helping Memphis to its 22nd win overall and 11th conference victory.
He piled up 18 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks in an 83-78 road victory over the Shockers Thursday.
