MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis' Kelsey Walter tied a career-high in kills and added a match-best seven total blocks to lift the Tigers to a come-from-behind 3-1 win over Tennessee Tech in the nightcap of the 2018 Tiger Invitational Friday.
The Tigers won the match by scores of 23-25, 25-22, 28-26 and 25-21. With the win, Memphis evens it record at 5-5. The Golden Eagles now are 6-4.
Walter's 10 kills tied a career-high which she set earlier this season. She had 10 kills versus UT Martin Aug. 31. The Memphis middle blocker also had seven total blocks for her fourth-consecutive match with five or more blocks.
