DES MOINES, Iowa – Former University of Memphis track and field standout and 2018 NCAA men's discus champion Luke Vaughn earned a spot on Team USA for the USA versus Europe Match in September. Dinamo Stadium in Minsk, Belarus, is the site for the two-day meet, which is set for Sept. 9-10.
In Thursday action at the 2019 USA Track and Field Championships, Vaughn placed fourth in the men's discus final with a throw of 202-8 (61.78m). He recorded his mark on his first attempt.
A two-time University of Memphis graduate (bachelor's 2017; master's 2018), Vaughn wrapped up one of the best track and field career in program history in the summer of 2018 with his NCAA title in the men's discus.
