FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team began competition at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Friday morning, shooting a team score of 291 (+7).
The Tigers sit in 13th place out of 15 teams, while host and No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt leads the tournament with a total of 266 (-18).
KEY MOMENTS
• Sophomore Ryan van der Klis paced the Tigers on Friday morning, shooting a 71 (E) to tie for 31st place after 18 holes.
• Van der Klis is just one stroke back of a group tied for 21st place and two shots shy of a group tied for 12th place in a tightly bunched field.
