BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Memphis' reset her school record in the women's weight throw to lead the Tigers track and field effort at the BSC Indoor Icebreaker Friday.
McMiller shattered her school record by over five feet with a throw of 72-10 (22.20m). Her previous school mark was 67-9.75 (20.67m) recorded at last year's American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, where she won silver in the weight throw.
Friday's meet, which was held at the Birmingham Crossplex, was the season opener for the Tigers.
The Tigers posted six first-place performances in the men's high jump (), men's weight throw (), men's shot put (), women's high jump (), women's shot put () and women's weight throw ().
