MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis track and field is set to kick off the outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational this weekend.
The two-day meet begins at 3 p.m. Friday at the Wolfe Track and Field Complex and will extend through Saturday after finishing up running events.
Last year, the men's and women's squads posted a combined 27 first-place performances at the same meet.
The weekend follows the recent end of the indoor season at the American Athletic Conference Championships in Birmingham, where the team finished with eight medal-winning performances, as well as DeeNia McMiller's first-team All-American finish at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships.
