Track and Field Completes Day One Action At A-State Invite

JONESBORO, Ark. – Junior set a University of Memphis women's indoor 3000m record, and senior and Matthew Viveiros placed first and second, respectively, in the men's 3000m to highlight the Tigers' Friday action at the A-State Invitational.

The A-State Invitational continues Saturday, with day-two schedule of events starting at 9 a.m. (CT).

Rodriguez Sala continued her impressive 2015-16 campaign Friday when she set the school 3000m indoor mark with a time of 9:45.42. She placed second in Friday's 3000m.

She bested the previous school record by more than two seconds. Rodriguez Sala broke the record held by Danielle Reindeau, who ran a 9:47.
