MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – After dropping the first match of the weekend, the Memphis women's tennis team rebounded to take a 4-3 win over Mizzou on Saturday. The win pushes Memphis to 5-4 on the year.
Monique Woog capped off the final court with a 6-3 triumph in her third set to seal the deal for the Tigers.
Memphis began the day down 1-0 after surrendering the doubles court.
Battling it out in singles play, Memphis and Mizzou split the top two and bottom two courts in straight sets. Lina Hohnhold won her fifth-straight match with 6-2, 6-0 sets to go along with Katherine Cao's 6-3, 6-4 win on Court 6 to put the Tigers on the board.
