THIBODAUX, La. – The University of Memphis baseball team saw its five-game winning streak come to an end, losing to Nicholls, 9-8, in game two of a three-game series on Saturday night at Ray E. Didier Field. Memphis moves to 8-3 on the season with the loss.
"Tough loss today," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "At the end of the day it comes down to playing clean. Of the nine runs they scored I think we gave them four. We had opportunities to spread the lead further and let them crawl back in it.
