How it happened:

- The Tigers loaded the bases with one out in the second with already one run home in the inning, and Daniels cleared them with a three-run double that put Memphis in front 5-0
- Cincinnati got a run back in the third on a bases loaded walk, but Shamblin stranded the bases loaded and kept the Bearcats off the scoreboard for the remainder of his five-inning outing
- The first four Memphis hitters in the fourth reached base, as Webb plated a run with a bases loaded walk, Daniels drove in his fifth run of the game with an RBI groundout, while an RBI groundout from SS Ben Brooks made it 9-1 Memphis
- The Tigers added a run in the fifth on a solo home run by LF Ian Bibiloni and tacked on three more in the seventh on a two-run double by 1B Chris Swanberg and RBI groundout from C Brennan DuBose, which pushed the lead to double digits at 13-1, the eventual final
- After two scoreless innings from LHP Jacob Gilmore, RHP Chase Kessinger faced the minimum over a scoreless seventh that closed out Memphis' 13-1 win
