NASHVILLE, Tenn. – , and all recorded first-place finishes in their respective events to highlight the University of Memphis track and field's second-day action at the 2016 Vanderbilt University Black & Gold Invitational Saturday.
The Tigers men's and women's 4x400 meter relay squads also had first-place performances.
In all, Memphis totaled 15 top-three finishes Saturday. In addition to their five first-place showings, the Tigers had six second-place finishes.
Carmichael, competing in her first outdoor meet after her 2016 NCAA Indoor Championships appearance Mar. 12, won the women's pole vault with a mark of 13-3.
