MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After winning their second American Athletic Conference Championship, Memphis will move on to the "Big Dance" when they host the tigers of LSU on Sunday at 1 p.m. at South Campus.
In a match that saw the Tigers (13-4-2) record their 11th shutout of the season, Memphis would find themselves tied with the 1-seeded South Florida after 110 minutes of play in the AAC Championship final. In penalty kicks, Elizabeth Moberg would make two diving saves in penalty kicks while Tanya Boychuk, Saorla Miller and Jocelyn Alonzo all netted their PK's to give the Tigers the win and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
