MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis baseball team won its third-straight game on Friday night at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field, defeating South Florida, 4-2, in game one of a three-game American Athletic Conference series.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 24-22 (6-10 AAC) on the season. The Bulls slipped to 18-29 (6-10) on the year with the loss.
"Great job all around tonight," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We had some good pitching performances and some good performances on the offensives side of the ball, especially late. We played really good defense all night and then DK comes in and shuts it down.
