New Orleans, LA. – For the second consecutive day, the Memphis Tigers lost three consecutive sets to the Tulane Green Wave. Unlike Friday evening, where Memphis won the first set in route to a 3-1 loss, the Tigers didn't pick up a set on Saturday. Memphis lost 23-25, 24-26, & 25-16.
Behind All-Conference selection Lexie Douglas, Tulane (4-5, 2-0) jumped out to an early lead in the first set and never relented. Douglas had three kills in the first 12 points that gave the Green Wave a 7-5 edge. Memphis (3-3, 0-2) briefly led 12-10, but Tulane took six of the next nine points for a 16-15 lead.
