BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Facing a short-handed UAB squad, the Memphis women's tennis team used the advantage to score a 4-0 win against the Blazers Friday afternoon at George Ward Park.
Memphis (7-6) swept the opening doubles point for an early lead. After two forfeit wins in singles extended the lead, sophomore clinched her second-consecutive match for the Tigers.
"Today's doubles was awesome. The kids played well and that was the highlight of the day," Head Coach said. "In singles, I have to give UAB a lot of credit; they are playing with only four players and fought tremendously hard.
