DALLAS – The University of Memphis women's basketball team was unable to overcome a fourth quarter push by SMU Tuesday night and fell by a score of 53-44 at Moody Coliseum. The Tigers fall to 10-12 overall and 3-6 in American Athletic Conference play. Memphis will see SMU later this season at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on Feb. 22.
How It Happened
After SMU took an early 11-2 lead in the first five minutes of the game, the Memphis defense locked down and held the Mustangs scoreless for the remainder of the quarter.
