OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Memphis baseball team rallied for four runs in the ninth inning on back-to-back-to-back home runs to defeat defending national champion Ole Miss, 11-9, on Tuesday night at Swayze Field. The win marked the first for the Tigers over the Rebels since 2017.
With the win, Memphis improved to 18-16 (2-4) on the season. The Rebels fell to 18-14 on the year with the loss.
"Great comeback win tonight," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We battled through some adversity but kept grinding and grinding until the ninth with a chance to tie it or take the lead and we did that.
