MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger women's basketball team will face their biggest test of the season when they travel to Columbia, S.C. to take on the reigning National Champions and current No. 1 ranked South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.
Memphis (4-3) is coming off the Las Vegas Invitational where they faced off with then #6 Indiana in their final game of the weekend. Despite coming out of the first quarter with a six-point lead, the Hoosier offense would be hard to contain as they handed the Tigers the 79-64 loss.
Jamirah Shutes and Emani Jefferson led the way for the Tigers over the weekend with a combined 22.
