MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The 47th-ranked Memphis Tiger women's tennis team split a pair of matches in Iowa this weekend, defeating Iowa on Friday, 5-2, before dropping a 4-2 decision to No. 28 Iowa State Sunday.
Memphis (13-5) won the doubles point in both matches, with the team of Emily Meyer/Monique Woog winning both of their matches.
Against the Hawkeyes, all six singles points were played to completion with the Tigers winning four. Aran Teixido Garcia and Woog won in straight sets, and Alisha Reayer and Meyer dropped their middle sets before completing their point.
