MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Another game, another challenge for the University of Memphis men's basketball team.
The Tigers, coming off an 80-40 American Athletic Conference loss at Tulsa, will play host to SMU at 3 p.m. Saturday at FedExForum.
SMU is 14-4 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Mustangs have won six of their past eight behind the stellar play of point guard Kendric Davis. Davis, a 5-foot-11 sophomore from Houston, Texas, is averaging a league-leading 7.4 assists per game, in addition to leading the Mustangs in scoring at 15.9 points per game.
Davis, a transfer who started two games at TCU last season, scored a career-high 24 points earlier this month in an overtime win at Vanderbilt.
