MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers led wire-to-wire in an 81-57 win over the Wichita State Shockers Sunday afternoon at FedExForum. The 24-point margin of victory is the largest in the 28 all-time meetings between the two schools dating back to 1958-59.
Memphis (17-9, 11-5 American Athletic Conference) has won eight of its last nine games and 11 of the last 15 overall. The Tigers are in third place in the AAC standings heading into the last week of the regular season, one-half game behind 11-4 SMU. Houston is in first place at 13-2, and the Cougars will be in Memphis next Sunday for the regular-season finale.
