MURRAY, Ky. – After two strong season-opening performances last week, the University of Memphis rifle team climbed two spots to No. 8 in the first regular-season College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) poll that was released Tuesday.
The Tigers were ranked No. 10 in the CRCA preseason poll that was released in mid-September.
Memphis' move up in the poll came after two impressive performances at last week's Ole Miss Open and Tiger Open. The Tigers placed third in the Ole Miss Open and second in their own Tiger Open.
At the Ole Miss Open, Memphis posted a program record aggregate score in a season opener.
