MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A two-out rally in the bottom of the sixth inning helped propel the University of Memphis softball team to a 5-4 victory over Murray State Wednesday evening. Memphis improves to 31-15 on the year with conference foe UConn coming up this weekend.
The Tigers saw themselves down early after a two-run first inning by the Racers. In the bottom half of the second, however, Memphis put together its first of two, two-out rallies to tie up the contest at 2-2.
Two more runs on three hits in the top of the fifth inning put Murray State back on top of the Tigers.
