After trailing UCF 2-0 in the second half, Memphis battled back and scored two goals to send the match to overtime where they earned a draw to open American Athletic Conference play Saturday at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
"I'm proud of the guys," Memphis head coach Richard Mulrooney said. "We could have easily put our heads down after they got a second goal. The guys responded well. We just showed a little more heart and determination that we weren't going to lose tonight. We were able to finish a few goals as well."
The Knights got out to their 2-0 lead in the 53rd minute on goals from Hadji Barry and C.
