LAKE CHARLES, La. – The Memphis Tiger softball team opened the weekend on a high note, collecting a 3-2 win over UT Arlington to kick off The Evangeline Bank and Trust II Invitational hosted by McNeese State.
Following today's game, Memphis moves to 4-7 overall.

How it happened:
- Alexis Dale would score the first run for the Tigers in the top of the 4th inning after an error from UTA's defense allowed her to cross home plate and put Gracie Morton on second and Camryn Wineinger on first.
