PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – The Memphis Tiger women's basketball team will hit the road before the new year to open American Athletic Conference play at Temple University this Friday afternoon.
Memphis (8-5) extended their winning streak after earning a 66-63 win over Xavier last Wednesday. After trailing for more than 30 minutes of the game, the Tigers offense would ignite in the second half to take the lead with less than a minute left in the game.
Along with Jamirah Shutes who led the team with 17 points, Madison Griggs etched her name in the record books once again as she broke the program's career three-point field goal record in the second quarter of the game.
