AIKEN, S.C. – The University of Memphis men's golf team finds itself in a familiar position after the first day of The Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in Aiken, S.C.
The Tigers are in fourth place after 36 holes of the 54-hole event, trailing leader and 22nd-ranked Clemson, Virginia and Furman. Clemson is at 17-under 543, Virginia is two strokes back at 545 and Furman is in third place at 4-over 564.
In its opening event of the spring last week at Colleton River, the Tigers finished fourth.
