PHILADELPHIA, Penn. – In their final game of 2022, the Memphis Tiger women's basketball team made the trip up north to take on the Owls of Temple University. Despite an early lead, the Temple offense would explode, and the Tigers suffered the 80-69 loss.
Following today's game, Memphis moves to 8-6 overall and 0-1 in American Athletic Conference play.
The Tigers got out to an early lead today, getting back-to-back three-pointers from Emani Jefferson and Jamirah Shutes to take the 17-9 lead with just over three minutes left in the opening quarter.
