MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis football team lost to the No. 25/25/25-ranked UCF Knights, 35-28, at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium on Saturday in Memphis, Tenn. The one-possession loss is the third this season for the Tigers (4-5, 2-4 American Athletic Conference).
Quarterback Seth Henigan completed 26-of-39 passes for 284 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions, while rushing for a team-high 69 yards with a score. Both Brandon Thomas and Jevyon Ducker had rushing touchdowns for Memphis, while Joseph Scates reeled in a 14-yard touchdown pass against the Knights (7-2, 4-1 AAC).
