GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Memphis baseball team fell in the series finale, 11-7, to No. 14 East Carolina on Sunday at Clark-LeClair Stadium to conclude a three-game American Athletic Conference series.
With the setback, the Tigers move to 26-25 (8-13 AAC) on the season. The Pirates improved to 38-14 (15-6) on the year with the win and have now won seven-straight games.
"It was a tough weekend for us, but we were playing against a really good baseball team," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "Turn the page, learn from what we didn't do well this weekend, make some adjustments and try and pick up some momentum against Tulane heading into the conference tournament.
