GREENVILLE, N.C. – The University of Memphis baseball team fell 10-4 to No. 14 East Carolina on Friday night at Clark-LeClair Stadium in game one of a three-game American Athletic Conference series.
With the setback, the Tigers move to 26-23 (8-11 AAC) on the season. The Pirates snapped the Tigers' five-game winning streak and improved to 36-14 (13-6) on the year with the win and have now won five-straight games of their own.
"We started off in the hole six runs and had some opportunities where it looked like we were going to battle a little bit, but we just need to be more consistent," head coach Kerrick Jackson said.
