MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team fell by a score of 93-36 to No. 1 UConn Wednesday afternoon in front of a packed crowd at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The Tigers drop to 7-13 on the year and 2-5 in American Athletic Conference play.
How It Happened
A pair of three-pointers by Jada Stinson and Brea Elmore pushed Memphis out to a 10-6 lead over the Huskies. UConn responded, however, with a 20-0 run to close out the first quarter.
Turnovers plagued the Tigers throughout the remainder of the first half.
