MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis baseball team lost 5-2 on Sunday to Indiana State at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field. The Sycamores took all three games in the series by scores of 5-1, 7-3 and 5-2, respectively.
With the loss, Memphis slid to 8-8 on the season while the Sycamores improved to 7-8 and have now won five-straight games.
"Very disappointing weekend," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "At the end of the day, they played better baseball than we did all weekend. We have to continue to teach and develop the right culture, which will put us in a position to play better baseball as we move forward.
