THIBODAUX, La. – The University of Memphis baseball team dropped the series finale to Nicholls, 9-2, on Sunday afternoon at Ray E. Didier Field. With the loss, Memphis moves to 8-4 on the season.
"Tough game today," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We got out and were chasing six runs right away. It just wasn't the best day for Seth [Garner], but that happens. We still had some competitive at-bats at times. We'll turn the page on this one, go to Monroe and put ourselves in a position to win a game on Tuesday.
