OXFORD, Miss. – Memphis baseball's seven-game win streak was snapped Tuesday night after an 8-1 setback at No. 9 Ole Miss at Swayze Field.
The Rebels took advantage of a season-high 11 walks and five wild pitches issued by the Tigers pitching staff throughout the evening. Playing on the road for just the second time this season, Memphis entered the contest with just over three walks per game and eight total wild pitches this year.
Offensively, Memphis freshman collected a two-hit night, going 2-for-4 with a double, while sophomore drove in the lone Tiger run.
