NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Memphis baseball team fell to Tulane, 6-5, on Sunday at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium in 11 innings. A two-out, two-run homerun by Tulane's Teo Banks made the Green Wave walk-off winners.
With the setback, Memphis moves to 16-13 on the season overall and 1-2 in the American Athletic Conference to conclude the first weekend of AAC play.
"The guys competed well today and fought back after we were down and got ourselves in the lead," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We had a chance to win the game, things just didn't go our way.
