NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Memphis baseball team fell to Tulane, 5-2, on Friday night at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium in its American Athletic Conference opener. With the setback, Memphis moves to 15-12 on the season.
"Rough way to start conference play," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We have to continue to coach them up and teach these guys how to win. They don't know how to win and it's up to us to put them in a position to do so. We'll come out tomorrow, see what we can do, try to tie this thing up and put ourselves in a position to win a series on Sunday.
