LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Memphis men's tennis team couldn't capitalize on early momentum, falling to Kentucky Friday afternoon.
The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after taking the doubles point. and took a 6-1 set on Court 1 before and put up a 6-4 win on Court 3 to clinch the point for Memphis. Both doubles teams were playing together for the first time this season.
Singles play proved to be the crux for the Tigers, as Kentucky turned the tide with wins on four-straight courts.
Memphis looks ahead now to playing at home, as the Tigers play eight of their last 10 matches at home.
