Tigers' Chanel Hudson-Marks selected to Jamaican National Team

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – For the first time in program history, Memphis women's soccer will be represented on one of the sport's largest stages as 2018 alumna Chanel Hudson-Marks was selected to the Jamaica Senior Women's National Team.

The daughter of Jamaican-born parents, Hudson-Marks will compete in this summer's 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup hosted by France. Jamaica became the first Caribbean country to ever qualify for the Women's World Cup last fall.

"I can't say how proud I am of Chanel. To see her grow over the years and have such a special senior year, which now turns into an opportunity to play in the World Cup, I couldn't be any prouder of her and her accomplishments," Memphis women's soccer head coach Brooks Monaghan said.
