Tigers Bounce Back with 6-5 Win

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis recovered from a sluggish start to rally for a 6-5 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff Tuesday night at FedExPark. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for Memphis.

The Tigers got great long relief outings from freshmen Jonathan Bowlan and Hunter Smith. Bowlan logged 3 1/3 innings and allowed just one run on one hit while Smith pitched 3 shutout innings to earn his first career win.

Trey McNickle, Drew Crosby and Nolan Blackwood combined to pitch the final two scoreless innings. Blackwood recorded his third save of the season and the 20th of his career.
