MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After a 2016 fall semester in which it set nine academic records, University of Memphis Athletics added two more marks and one record re-set with the release of its 2017 spring semester report card Wednesday.
Memphis student-athletes combined to post a 3.158 grade-point average (GPA), the second-highest GPA in athletics department history. It is the eighth-straight semester and 11 of the last 13 semesters that Tigers student-athletes posted a 3.0 GPA or higher. Fourteen of the athletics department's 17 teams recorded a 3.0 GPA or higher.
