INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Memphis athletics program ranked among the top NCAA Division I institutions in community service for late 2016-early 2017, NCAA Team Works and Helper Helper announced Friday.
The over 300 Tigers student-athletes helped Memphis earn a No. 25 national ranking for community service among all NCAA Division I schools. In addition, the Tigers women's soccer team earned a No. 2 ranking for all NCAA Division I women's soccer programs.
"I am very proud of the coaches, student-athletes and administrators who have contributed to this top-25 ranking," said Tom Bowen, Memphis Director of Athletics.
