MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis Tiger women's tennis junior Aran Teixido Garcia has been named the American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Teixido Garcia went 2-0 in both singles and doubles play to lead Memphis to dual match wins against Xavier (5-2) and South Florida (6-1) last week. She scored a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles in the win against the Musketeers and followed with a 6-2, 6-4 victory at the No. 1 position against the Bulls.
