MURRAY, Ky. -- The University of Memphis softball team extended its winning streak to three games Wednesday with an 8-0 victory over Murray State on the road. Wednesday's win marks the second win this season over the Racers and third-consecutive victory by run-rule. The Tigers improve to 18-14 with the win.
Memphis scored two in the first to take an early lead over the Racers. Baylee Smith drove in the first run of the day with a double to left center.
After two scoreless innings for both sides, Memphis broke open the contest with six runs in the top of the fourth inning.
