MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team finished the Tiger Classic on a high note with a 9-5 victory over Murray State Sunday afternoon. Memphis evened the weekend series against Murray State and ultimately finished the Tiger Classic with a 3-2 overall record.
The win Sunday improved Memphis to 15-12 overall on the year and 10-3 at home. Memphis has a quick turnaround with a home contest against No. 18/19 Oklahoma State Monday evening at 5 p.m.
and ignited the Memphis offense with a pair of line drive singles to left field in the bottom of the second inning.
