BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of Memphis softball team suffered a pair of setbacks Friday at the LSU Tournament hosted by No. 7 LSU. The Tigers first fell to California State University Northridge in the first game of the day by a score of 2-0 before falling to the host squad by a 4-0 margin.
Memphis drops to 5-6 overall on the young season with two games remaining at the LSU Tournament.
The Memphis pitching was a combined effort in game one against CSUN, as Karli Perque and Bayleigh Wisher evenly split innings.
